Charlotte Tully Perry, 96, of South Amboy, NJ, died Thursday Dec. 30, 2010 at Madison Center, Old Bridge. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Manhasset, Long Island, before moving to South Amboy, NJ, in 2003.
Before retiring in 1976 she was employed by the New York City Transit Authority for 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, South Amboy, St. Mary’s Senior Citizens, South Amboy Senior Citizens and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, South Amboy.
Wife of the late Charles Perry who died in 1973, she was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph B. Tully and her sister, Marguerite Mathews. She is survived by two daughters and sons in-law, Margaret Rueb and her husband Jeff of Oyster Bay and Mary Ann Shields and her husband Brian of South Amboy; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3, from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals” at 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Interment followed at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale.
