After five years as the Associate Pastor at Church of Saint Mary in Manhasset, Father Allan Sikorski is heading east to his next assignment, at Saint Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in Dix Hills. He celebrated his last Mass at Saint Mary’s on Sunday, June 23 and expressed much gratitude and affection for the many parishioners who helped to make his first priestly assignment memorable. During the well-attended service and standing-room-only reception in the Marian Room that followed, Father Sikorksi spoke warmly of his time at St. Mary’s. Dozens of parishioners lined up for over an hour to speak with him and take pictures. Father Sikorski’s replacement will be Father Christopher Costigan, who comes from Saint Bernard’s Church in Levittown.
