Elections in most Manhasset villages will take place on Tuesday, March 19 from noon to 9 p.m. Petitions to file to run for office were due by the end of the business day on Feb. 12 but were extended to Feb. 13 due to the holiday for Lincoln’s birthday. The Flower Hill and Munsey Park elections are contested.
In Flower Hill there are four candidates for three trustee positions. In Munsey Park the mayor is being challenged and there are four candidates for two trustee positions.
Elections will be held in June in the Village of North Hills.
In Flower Hill, three trustee positions are open. Incumbent Trustees Tab Hauser and Robert McNamara are running for re-election for two-year terms as members of the Flower Hill Party. Also running for trustee are Eileen Mills, Flower Hill Party, and Roy Nelson, Civic Party.
The election will take place at the Flower Hill Village Hall, 1 Bonnie Heights Rd.
In Munsey Park, incumbent Mayor Harry Nicolaides is running for another 4–year term as a member of the Village Party. He is being challenged by Frank Demento, a member of the Residents for a Better Munsey Park Party.
Incumbent Trustees Albert T. Jaronczyk, Village Party, and Sheila A. Brennan, Village Party, are running for re-election for two-year terms. They are being challenged by Sean Haggerty and Patrick Hance, both members of the Residents for a Better Munsey Park Party. The election will take place at the Munsey Park Village Hall, 1777 Northern Blvd.
In Plandome, incumbent Mayor M. Lloyd Williams is running for reelection. as is incumbent village justice James Kiley. Incumbent trustee Judith Harrison Bode is running for a two-year term. Katie Saville, a new candidate, is running for trustee and taking Edward Henderson’s position who is not running. The election will take place at the Plandome Village Hall, 65 South Drive.
In Plandome Heights, incumbent Trustees Lawrence Bourguet and Norman Taylor are running for re-election for two-year positions. Daniel Cataldo is running for a two-year term as trustee for the position held by Don Parker who is not running. Cye E. Ross, Esq. is running for reelection to a 4-year term as Village Justice. The election will take place at the Plandome Village Hall, 65 South Drive, Plandome.
In Plandome Manor, incumbent Mayor Barbara Donno is running for re-election for a 2–year term. Incumbent Trustees Matthew Clinton and Irwin Klein are running for two-year terms. All three candidates are members of the Action Party. The election will take place at 55 Manhasset Avenue.
