Don Scott Memorial Foundation

The Foundation is dedicated towards continuing the influential and inspiring life’s work of Donald H. Scott. His mission was to support, educate, and coach others in their journey through life. On Nov. 4, 2010 his mission ended as he lost his three-month long battle to colon cancer. In February 2011, his son Donald R. Scott founded the Don Scott Memorial Foundation with the goal of continuing his father’s mission. The initiatives of the foundation are to 1) support the fight against colon cancer through advocating awareness and prevention, providing outreach support, and supporting research initiatives, and 2) support the special needs of Manhasset High School student athletes particularly surrounding the sports of cross-country and track and field, including providing an annual scholarship to a graduating senior.
