Join hundreds of community members as they and their families complete a 5K Walk/Run through Manhasset to raise funds to fight breast cancer. The Kiwanis Club of Manhasset-Port Washington is having its Annual Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon in the Manhasset High Schools cafeteria. The proceeds from this event go to the Manhasset Foundation which awards scholarships to graduating seniors and supports the Bring Up Your Grades programs. Donation is $7 for adults. Active Seniors of Manhasset meets every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in rented quarters at the Unitarian Church on Shelter Rock Rd. Phyllis Becker is its director and leads the group in its activities including luncheons at local restaurants. Because many of the group no longer drive, bus transportation is available.
