Manhasset Chamber of Commerce hosts It Annual Tree Lighting at Mary Jane Davies Gazebo located on Plandome Road at 4:15 p.m. Enjoy holiday music, hot chocolate, and surprise visit from the jolly old elf himself. Poster contest winners will be announced.

Musical Soiree Gala Benefit

The Women’s Group of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock will host their Annual Musical Soiree Gala Benefit starring the renowned Voxare Quartet. The performance will take place at UUCSR at 48 Shelter Rock Rd. Manhasset at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and will include champagne and dessert. All proceeds will benefit the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Peter Pan

SCA Family Theatre presents family theatre. The show will be presented at 2 p.m. at the Munsey Park Elementary School Auditorium and will run for approximately one hour. Advance ticket sales are $12 each, or purchase season tickets for both shows for $20, a $4 savings. Children under the age of 3 are free. Groups and birthday parties are welcome and special arrangements for a “meet and greet” with the cast members are available. Christmas Concert

The Chancel Choir and professional soloists of The Congregational Church of Manhasset will performt a Christmas concert under the direction of Craig Tocher, with accompaniment by Judith Feuss after the 10 a.m. service. Familiar as well as lesser known anthems and carols performed by the choir will be interspersed with the singing of carols by the choir and attendees. Following the concert, light refreshments will be served in the church’s Parish Hall. There is no suggested donation. Messiah Concert

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock will present its Annual Messiah Sing at 1:30 p.m. at the Congregation’s facility at 48 Shelter Rock Road in Manhasset. Scores for the Messiah Sing will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring personal scores if they possess them (Watkins Shaw edition preferred). While all attendees are invited and encouraged to sing, those wishing to simply listen to the amassed choir and soloists are cordially welcome. The event is open to the public. A contribution of $7 will be requested at the door ($5 for Congregation members), and adequate free parking is available.
