 Manhasset Candlelight Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. at Mary Jane Davies Park on Plandome Road.  Bring a candle and join fellow members of the Manhasset community for a service of remembrance and hope.  This service is sponsored by the Manhasset Clergy Association.  For further information call Rev. Students from throughout the town join together for this special day to experience the Town of North Hempstead’s history during a live performance by our elected officials. Helen’s Run/Walk - 5K/3.1 Miles

Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults is hosting its 17th annual walk-a-thon.  This year a run component has been added to our event! Registration and start point for Helen’s Run/Walk is at the Sands Point Park & Preserve, 127 Middle Neck Road, Sands Point, N.Y. Check in and registration is 7:30 – 8:30 a.m., start- 9 a.m.  Registration fee is $25; the day of event is $35. The Town of North Hempstead’s Annual Kids Safety Day from 4pm to 6pm at Mary Jane Davies Park in Manhasset. This event offers unique safety tips for children and their families. This year’s activities and events include: public safety zones from the fire department and police department, child car seat safety checks, North Hempstead Child Safety I.D. kits and safety information on bike helmets, pets and the internet.
