The Council of Greater Manhasset Civic Associations meets at 8 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, September through June, in Town Hall in the law library.
The Manhasset Park District Board of Commissioners meets on Mondays at 6:15 p.m., the second and fourth Monday of the month at the Manhasset Park District Office at 62 Manhasset Ave., Manhasset, unless otherwise publicly notified. These meetings are open to the public.
The Flower Hill Village Board meets on the first Monday of every month at 8 p.m. at the Village Hall, One Bonnie Heights Rd., Flower Hill.
The Village of Munsey Park Board of Trustees meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m., Village Hall, 1777 Northern Blvd., Munsey Park.
North Hills Board of Trustees meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 8 p.m. at the Village Hall, One Shelter Rock Rd., North Hills.
Plandome Board of Trustees meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. at the Plandome Village Hall, 65 South Dr., Plandome.
The Plandome Heights Board of Trustees usually meets at 8 p.m. on the first Monday of the month at the Plandome Heights Village Hall, 37 Orchard St. Contact the village office at 627-1136 to confirm the schedule. Any individual requiring special assistance to attend should notify the village clerk at least 48 hours in advance.
Plandome Manor Board of Trustees usually meets at 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at the Village Hall, 55 Manhasset Ave., Manhasset.
Father Helmut Schuler will speak about “The Catholic Tipping Point – Reform and Renewal in the Catholic church.” Father Schuler, a priest of the diocese of Vienna, Austria, is founder of the Priests’ Initiative, a European-wide organization of diocesan priests called for dialogue with the hierarchy on issues pertinent to Catholic spiritual life. Father Schuler is on a countrywide tour of the United States talking to large groups across the nation on these matters. Manhasset is the last stop on his tour before returning to Austria. He will be speaking at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Rd., Manhasset. Meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome, bring a friend. “The Business of Art” seminar will be held 8:30 a.m. at the Amsterdam at Harborside in Port Washington. The Heckscher Museum of Art, CEO, Dr. Michael Schantz, Art League of Long Island CEO, Charlee Miller and Great Neck Arts Center, Executive Director Regina Gill will be the featured speakers. Lean on Me Breast Cancer Network Inc invites you to Summer Serenity Wellness retreat funded by the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer Outreach Program. The session will be held at Our Lady of Grace located at 29 Shelter Rock Road in Manhasset. The program will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Pre-registration is required; free admission. “Play for Pink” a charity tennis event will be held at Shelter Rock Tennis and Country Club. The round-robin tournament will take place at 1 p.m. The tournament will feature men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed-doubles with A and B levels of play.
