Temple Judea of Manhasset welcomes Ron Schweiger, authority on the lore of New York City and the borough of Brooklyn, from 2-4 p.m. He will take all on a nostalgic journey to the early days of Coney Island, Brighten Beach, Sheepshead Bay, and Ebbets Field. The program, sponsored by the Greatest Generation of Temple Judea of Manhasset, 333 Searingtown Road, Manhasset, is $10 per person and “more than a nosh” will be served. The Don Scott Foundation’s 5K Run will begin at Mary Jane Davies Gazebo on Plandome Road in Manhasset and finish on Nassau Avenue, short of Park Avenue.
