Did you know that members of the school district's administrative cabinet have chosen to permanently waive their pay raise for this year that they are contractually entitled to? What a fine, thoughtful, and considerate offer to make for the taxpayers of Manhasset in these trying economic times. I believe it is important to recognize efforts that are made above and beyond the call of duty, and I really appreciate it when those in positions of leadership take the opportunity to lead by example. I would like to thank, Mr. Charles Cardillo, Dr. William Shine, Dr. Anthony Ambrosio, and Mrs. Rosemary Johnson. Your selfless and generous gesture demonstrates to this community that you are truly committed to our schools and that you care for all members of the community. Your decision affects your families; yet you care enough about the individuals in this community to sacrifice and make a difference whenever you have the opportunity. On behalf of my family I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to your family.
Manhasset, we are very fortunate to have a group of caring, connected administrators who have chosen to make a personal sacrifice to help all of us. I would ask you all to show them your support and thanks by supporting our schools on Tuesday, May 19.
