Pictured are some of the members of last year's Swing Committee who hope to have your company at this year's event.

This year's Swing For The Cure will held be on June 1 at Nassau Country Club. The Swing is a signature event of the Manhasset Women's Coalition Against Breast Cancer and provides a great opportunity for tennis enthusiasts to gather for an important cause. The spirit of camaraderie prevails as the participants enjoy a light breakfast followed by tennis drills, round robin play and a luncheon with silent auction and raffle prizes. There are vendors on site for those who prefer to shop. All level of players are welcome and non-tennis players come too for the luncheon and festivities! After this long cold winter, MWCABC is looking forward to seeing all its dedicated friends and supporters and urges new participants to help "Swing For The Cure" this year.

The Manhasset Women's Coalition Against Breast Cancer is an all volunteer, non-profit corporation founded in 1997 to unite the women of Manhasset in the fight against breast cancer. MWCABC's mission is to fund innovative research, increase awareness through education and provide support services to those with breast cancer and related diseases. To date, the Coalition has donated more than $1.5 million to breast cancer research and education programs. MWCABC's 2009 primary grant recipient will be Dr. Silvia Formenti, chair of Radiation Oncology and associate director of Clinical Studies at NYU Cancer Institute.
