Those who took the opportunity to view the screening of the film The Human Experience at St. Mary's High School on Jan. 31 were privileged to view a very uplifting film that reached into and touched your heart and soul. I had seen the trailer, saw the article/ invitation in the Manhasset Press, and put it on our calendar, but never imagined how superb it was going to be. Members of the cast and production crew gave a Q&A session following the film, then they joined a pizza event in the cafeteria following the screening, all at no cost to the participants.
I wish to thank the St. Mary's leadership and Youth Group for organizing and funding this event for the Manhasset community. If you're one of the people who didn't attend it, do put this on your list as a "must see"... keep your eyes open wide for additional screenings in the region. It had also been screened at a few other LI high schools and, while a great experience for teens, it was equally moving for adults of all ages and all faiths.
