If the Coalition For A Safer Manhasset really wants to make Manhasset safer, close Starbucks. They have a conditional use permit that must be renewed by the town periodically, don't renew it. Failing that because the political cronyism will undoubtedly stop such action, prevent left hand turns into Starbucks by westbound traffic on Bayview Avenue and prevent left turns by cars exiting Starbucks parking lot on to Plandome Road and those exiting onto Bayview Avenue. Starbucks is easily the biggest traffic hazard in Manhasset. The proposed crosswalk is a nonevent compared to Starbucks.
