As the fall weather got cooler, Manhasset's Crew Team got hotter, their medal count rising by nine from their performance in two recent regattas: The Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs, NY in late October and the Snowflake Regatta in Riverhead, NY in early November.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Hugo Guardado Henriquez (Varsity Boys), and Assistant Coaches Stephanie Doughty (Varsity Girls) and Michael Hartnagel (Boys and Girls Novice/Junior Varsity), Manhasset sent nine boats to compete among over 1,000 entries in the highly competitive Head of the Fish regatta in Saratoga. The team's Men's Junior Frosh 8 garnered a Bronze Medal for their efforts in the 2-mile race on Fish Creek. Competing for Manhasset were: Coxswain Alex Kavourias, rowers Stefan Hummel (JV captain), Paris Thatos, Christian Voto, Max Johnson, Ryan Can, Alan Delaney, Chris Kasabian and Danny Merola.

The following weekend, Manhasset dominated at the 3,200-meter Snowflake Regatta on Long Island, capturing eight medals for their efforts while racing on the Peconic River.

Bronze Medal: Cox: Nick Bilotto, Rowers: George Politidis, Michael Grunberg, Jim Krach and Steve Cobos.

The team will compete in their final regattas of the fall season in Philadelphia.
