John N. "Jack" DeHoff, Jr., of Spring Township, PA died July 13, 2008 in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Township, PA where he had been since Monday.
He was the husband of Joanne (Derr) DeHoff, whom he married Aug. 16, 1969.
Born in Flushing, NY on Dec. 14, 1943, he was a son of Dr. John N. DeHoff, Sr., of Orangeville, Columbia County and the late Elizabeth (Marquis) DeHoff.
He was a 1962 graduate of Manhasset High School, New York and a 1968 graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus.
Jack owned and operated his own advertising firm, Yellowood Communications for a number of years and Berks Solar Associates for a number of years.
He was a past officer of the Sertoma Club of Reading.
Jack was an avid lover of Pennsylvania history and especially Colonial times.
He is survived by two sisters: Lauranne D. Thatcher of Grants Pass, Oregon and Judith M. DeHoff of Royal Oak, Maryland.
Jack is also survived by a niece, Bo Elizabeth Thatcher of Grants Pass, Oregon.
Memorial Services were held Friday, July 18 at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA with Chaplain David L. Ballantyne officiating.
