Anton "Tony" Rudert died on Monday, March 24, 2008, at the age of 91.

Tony, a once internationally acclaimed appraiser of fine arts and antiques, was a long time resident of Manhasset, having moved there in 1967.

He will best be remembered by family and friends as a kind and gentle soul who greeted everyone with a smile and never complained.

Tony is now rejoined with Dorothy, his beloved wife of 55 years, who died in April of 2002. He is survived by: his son, Bryce "Sonny" Rudert, and his fiancée Nanette Ramos; "surrogate" daughter Liliana Nealon and her children Jenn, Carl, Patti, and JP, to whom Tony was a loving grandfather.

A memorial service was held at Shelter Rock Church, 626 Plandome Road, Manhasset, on Saturday, April 12, 2008.
