We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Munsey Park School community for making "Jump to Cure Diabetes" an incredible success. Through the generosity of family and friends, the Munsey Park SCA, and the dedicated efforts of physical education teachers Keith Connors, Melissa Laudage, Bella Totino and John Schlipf, Munsey Park students raised over $18,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The JDRF reports that this was one of the top school fundraisers ever! The jump was created in support of several Munsey Park students and a beloved teacher who face the daily challenges of type-1 diabetes.

We would also like to thank the Munsey Park School Community Service Committee for their help in decorating, and distributing snacks and JDRF bracelets on the day of the event. Our sincere thanks to the DePhillips family for generously donating a balloon arch which the children walked through to enter the beautifully decorated gym.

"Jump to Cure Diabetes" was a truly unforgettable experience for all involved. The effort put forth by coaches, students and the school community taught the children lessons in teamwork, community spirit and physical fitness.

We are truly blessed to live in such a generous community.

Lisa Sciarrino and Christina Whitaker
