The 2007-2008 MHS Boys Varsity Swim Team boasts a roster of 28 athletes, the largest in the history of the team. The team is comprised of a well-balanced mix of seasoned upperclassman and talented newcomers, both in the pool and on the diving board.

The dual meet season started with a non-conference meet against perennial powerhouse Garden City. Manhasset displayed an outstanding performance, taking the meet down to the last relay, before losing 95-90.

Since the opener, the Indians have won three consecutive conference meets, defeating Port Washington, Freeport and Uniondale.

Many personal best times have been recorded to guide the Indians to their best start in four years.

Senior Kevin Love swam a 24.41 in the 50 Free and 55.54 in the 100 Free. Brian Kim swam a 33.81 in the 50 Backstroke and 1:17.12 in the 100yd Backstroke. Matt Carrozzo swam a 25.73 in the 50 Free. AJ Pegno swam a 1:26.10 in the 100 Breaststroke. Omid Morhsed swam a 29.23 in the 50 Free. Jacky Yeh swam a 29.97 in the 50 Free.

Junior Max Smitham swam a 24.21 in the 50 Free, 54.94 in the 100 Free and a 1:02.49 in the 100 Fly. Mike Yee swam a 29.31 in the 50 Backstroke and 1:07.19 in the 100 Backstroke. Brian Tam swam a 33.71 in the 50 Breaststroke and 1:13.82 in the 100 Breaststroke, 26.07 in the 50 Free and 58.11 in the 100 Free. Ty Louis swam a 2:45.76 in the 200IM, 1:15.06 in the 100 Fly and 1:21.91 in the 100 Breaststroke. John Maisano swam a 28.16 in the 50 Free and a 1:23.72 in the 100 Breaststroke. Paul Faglione swam a 2:23.85 in the 200 Free, 1:01.57 in the 100 Free, 26.49 in the 50 Free and 30.8 in the 50 Fly. Richie Tortora swam a 31.92 in the 50 Free and a 1:14 in the 100 Free. Ryan Sprotte scored 126 points in 1m diving. Steven Cobos swam a 31.86 in the 50 Back and a 1:12.72 in the 100 Back.

Sophomore Jeff Yau swam a 31.87 in the 50 Breaststroke, 1:09.94 in the 100 Breaststroke, 2:24.78 in the 200 IM and 1:11.51 in the 100 Back. Paul Stathis swam a 30.8 in the 50 Fly, 1:07.50 in the 100 Fly and 1:04.64 in the 100 Free. Hayes Brown swam a 2:19.49 in the 200 Free, 59.97 in the 100 Free and 27.11 in the 50 Free. Christian Kapper swam a 28.43 in the 50 Free and 1:03.39 in the 100 Free. Pat Love swam a 28.79 in the 50 Free and 1:05.55 in the 100 Free. John Gold swam a 28.59 in the 50 Free and a 1:18.52 in the 100 Backstroke.

Freshmen Kevin Grimm swam a 27.53 in the 50 Free, 1:00.92 in the 100 Free, 2:12.35 in the 200 Free, 6:11.48 in the 500 Free and a 1:11.51 in the 100 Fly. Billy Stathis swam a 28.3 in the 50 Free, 1:03.18 in the 100 Free, 2:16.20 in the 200 Free, 6:15.61 in the 500 Free, 2:44.06 in the 200 IM and a 1:19.09 in the 100 Breaststroke. Andrew Kapper swam a 28.96 in the 50 Free and scored 145 points in 1m diving. Connor Carey swam a 35.67 in the 50 Fly and scored 99 points in 1 m diving.

Eighth-grader Sohrab Vatsia swam a 5:47.64 in the 500 Free, 58.73 in the 100 Free, 2:27.56 in the 200 IM and a 1:11.86 in the 100 Back. Ryan Beil swam a 37.82 in the 50 Breaststroke and a 1:09.29 in the 100 Free.
