The Indians Rock Community Foundation is a recently established 501c3 not-for-profit public charity organized by Manhasset residents for Manhasset Residents. The foundation is committed to the improvement and acquisition of athletic facilities throughout Manhasset for the benefit of the entire Manhasset community.
We need your help. We have many projects we would like to accomplish. This is a foundation, so the goals are both long and short term.
The first project we are working on is our Phase I Project. We believe this project can serve many athletes, youth groups, students and their families. This project also has the capability to help generate an ongoing revenue stream for future projects and for various organizations. You can read more about our Phase I Project on our website at www.irockfundhome.org. We also have a presentation regarding the Phase 1 project located under the project tab on our website.
We urge your support, as we launch this drive to raise $230,000 by mid-January to complete our Phase 1 project by spring 2008 so that it can be debuted for the Lacrosse Day of Champions to honor native son Sgt. Jimmy Regan to be held on April 19, 2008.
This will be an exciting community event being coordinated by the Indians Rock Foundation and Lead the Way Fund, a charitable fund established in the memory of Sgt. Jimmy Regan.
The event will be an all day one starting with PAL lacrosse games, JV lacrosse games, Manhasset High School Varsity Girls vs. St. Anthony's Varsity Girls, Manhasset High School Varsity Boys vs. Chaminade Boys Varsity and then the final game of the day, Army vs. Duke University.
Indians Rock has a lot of different activities planned for the event and we are working closely with Jim Regan of Lead the Way to make this both a memorable and, hopefully, annual event. The entire event will take place at Manhasset High School and, hopefully, with each of your support, we will have our Phase 1 project up and operational in time for the event. But to do that, we must raise the money before the end of January.
Please become involved. Donations can be made at the website, www.irockfundhome.org or by mailing a check to Indians Rock, 36 Maple Place, 2nd floor, Manhasset, NY 11030. You can also volunteer your time at the website by filling out the contact form.
Thanks for your support!
