Mildred Pitta passed away on Oct. 10, 2007. Beloved wife of the late John and loving mother of John Pitta and Dr. Patricia Pitta-Kirk. Mildred Pitta is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Fairchild Funeral Chapel, 1570 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset made the arrangements. Funeral Mass was held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Manhasset. Interment followed at Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mary's Parish Social Ministry, Mental Health Division.
