The Manhasset Park District had requested the town to take the necessary steps to secure a Bond Anticipation Note ("BAN") to help fund the construction of a new facility to operate as the district headquarters and garage.

The district has withdrawn this request. The district would like to take some additional time to review the proposed project, cost-saving options and alternate funding sources. In the event that the district eventually determines that securing a BAN is in the district's best interest for the project, the district states that they reserve the right to resubmit the request to the town.
