Greentree Foundation Grants $175,000 to Manhasset Community Fund
For the fourth consecutive year, the Greentree Foundation has made a substantial grant to the Manhasset Community Fund for distribution to address priority needs facing the people of the Town of North Hempstead. This year's grant of $175,000 brings Greentree Foundation's total donations to the Community Fund over those four years to $650,000.

Manhasset Seventh Grade Island Garden Team Poised for Playoff Run
Since October 2006, the Manhasset seventh grade Island Garden basketball team has played extremely well in the 7-2 division, going 9-0 for the first half schedule. In the second half, they will compete against teams in the 7-1, 8-1 and 8-2 divisions. Thus far, they have continued to play well at this level, winning three games against teams from both the 7-1 and 8-2 divisions. Their only loss of the season came from a team in the 8-1 division. The team now stands at 12-1. Five games remain in the regular season before the playoffs.
