What happens when a team has a reservoir of talent and determination?
Just ask the Manhasset Mighty 5th grade girls soccer team. They had a 9-0 record this season, with the team scoring 39 goals for and 4 goals against. In addition, 10 out of 15 players scored.
The girls exhibited superb teamwork and strong soccer skills. They worked very hard by attending their biweekly practices, and it showed how much they improved throughout the season. Each game the girls became more determined to win.
The coaching staff led by Jorge Garcia, Jerome Blocker and Scott Arenare and all the parents of the team are truly proud of the girls and what they achieved.
The team consisted of: Goalies: Anne Marie Ardito and Alexandra Matteo; Defenders: Paulina Parsons, Jade Blocker, Yvette Signore and Riley Garcia: Midfielders: Natalie Stefan, Emily Koufakis, Jacklyn D'Alleva and Kelsey Connolly; Forwards: Elizabeth Arenare, Abby Kucharczyk, Cara DePippo, Adrianna Duggan and Courtney DiGia.
