On Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18, five members of the Manhasset Girls Swim Team competed in the New York State Championships. The championship meet was held at Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY.

The 200-yd Medley Relay team of Whitney Quackenbush, Samantha Reiss, Chrissy Brodt and Chrissie Gotimer finished 19th in the state in a time of 1:54.74.

Senior Chrissy Brodt finished 11th in the 200-yd freestyle in a season best time of 1:56.28 and 18th in the 100-yd freestyle in a time of 54.25. Senior Chrissie Gotimer finished 30th in the state in the 50-yd freestyle in a time of 25.29.

The 200-yd freestyle relay team of Elizabeth Henry, Chrissy Brodt, Chrissie Gotimer and Whitney Quackenbush finished 10th in New York State in a time of 1:41.81. This was the best state finish by a Manhasset Relay in the team's history.
