We extend a most grateful "thank you" to the Plandome Fire Department, Manhasset-Lakeville, Great Neck and Roslyn firefighters for coming to our aid when a fire erupted in our basement. Their immediate response, expertise and care resulted in the safe evacuation of our nursery school children and minimal damage to our building. Their bravery and concern for our community will never be forgotten. We would especially like to recognize: Roger Coleman, Rick Buhr, Bob Carpenter, Vincent Ferrara, Susan Foley, Larry Florio, George Frooks, Roger Goodwin, Blaise Heid, Dick Knies, Andrew Lavin, Don Richardson, John Runge, Matt Temares, Matt Walsh, Scotty Wilson, Garry Becker, George Hawes, Bill Miller and Brian Morris.

A Blessing for Firefighters

May the Holy Blessed One of all generations and of all people

bless our community's firefighters

for all their efforts in caring for us and for our building.

Protect them as they work to bring healing into the world

by preserving the safety of all

and by bringing relief to those in need.

May they be granted life and kept from every trouble and affliction,

and from every harm and illness.

May they be successful in all their labors
