Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Wayne Wink have announced that the Town of North Hempstead and the consulting group, HDR, recently commissioned a traffic planning firm, the RBA Group, to do a Preliminary Traffic and Parking Study of Plandome Road as part of the Visioning Process.

On Saturday, August 12, a teacher's dream became a reality when 23 Arab and Jewish children arrived on the campus of Buckley Country Day School. The children attended Buckley camp for two weeks and stayed with Buckley camp and school host families.

Manhasset's Drury Gallagher is Inducted Into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame
On Friday, Aug. 4, the International Swimming Hall of Fame located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, inducted nine athletes including Manhasset's Drury Gallagher, into the International Master Swimming Hall of Fame in Palo Alto, California, in conjunction with the XI FINA World Masters Aquatic Championships.
