Several months ago, you purchased Girl Scout cookies from a Manhasset Girl Scout and donated some to our soldiers in Iraq. Attached is a portion of an email we received from LTC Schumaker from the 32nd Signal BN. In addition, some photos are included. Thank you for your donation of Girl

Scout cookies. You made someone's day!

Connie Wysota

Excerpt from soldier's email follows:

"We really had a great time and the kids were so much fun. They live in poverty and we made their lives better at least for this day. In addition to the cookies, my troops reached into their pockets and donated pens, soccer balls, toys, toiletries, these families have very little and were so happy for the visit. In addition, we also rendered some first aid and collected some good information that will help our cause.

Please pass along to all the folks that made this possible, that in the finest traditions of American generosity to make things better for the soldiers, we in turn made a difference in one small village here in Iraq today.

At the end of the mission the morale of the solder's soared."

LTC Schumaker from the 32nd Signal BN
