Norgate Residents Voice Concern at BOE Meeting
Surprisingly, it was a packed room for a sultry mid-summer evening board of education meeting on July 25. Property adjacent to Memorial Field is available for purchase, the district envisions the possibility of housing the administration there thus freeing up space for classrooms in the high school and residents of Norgate were present to voice concerns over the potential of reduced property values.

MHS Class of 2006 Frolic
As the newest alumni of Manhasset High School, students were ushered into their island-transformed gymnasium by a pirate, crossed a bridge surrounded by sand, and were greeted by live parrots to celebrate the annual tradition of the frolic. "All the hard work and dedication of the parents is what showed when I first walked into the gym," said senior Ariana Izzo.

Kayak Run Steering Toward Family Event
It wasn't a race-everyone confirmed that. It was a rally, or run-the Port Washington Manhasset Bay Kayak Run-an annual event held for kayakers of any ability from towns near and far; including, Port Washington, Bellmore, Huntington, Glen Cove and Manhasset. To participate, one can own, rent, or use a kayak provided by a yacht club.
