Nassau County Comptroller Howard Weitzman has appointed Aline Khatchadourian, CPA, of Manhasset to the position of Deputy Comptroller for Audit and Special Projects.
"Aline's extensive experience at KPMG, one of the world's leading accounting firms, will make her a great asset to the Comptroller's office as she leads our 20-person field audit division," Comptroller Weitzman said. "Her broad background in auditing and accounting will be very helpful to us as we continue our mission of aggressively auditing county departments, agencies that receive county contracts, and town special tax districts," said Comptroller Weitzman.
Ms. Khatchadourian replaces Manuel Mosquera, who now serves as director of operations for health and human services in the Nassau County Department of Social Services.
At KPMG, Ms. Khatchadourian supervised audits of both privately-held and publicly traded companies. She also served as controller for Lisa Jenks Limited, a manufacturing company, where she developed and implemented budgets, business strategies, and financial policies and procedures.
Ms. Khatchadourian, a CPA and graduate of Manhasset High School, received a bachelor's degree in finance from Marist College and a master's degree in accounting from Pace University. Active in education and community affairs, she currently serves as a member of the Manhasset Board of Education. She lives in Manhasset with her husband and two children.
