The North Shore-Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Health System mourns the passing of Gerry M. Trunz, the beloved wife for 28 years of Charles M. Trunz, III, the health system's senior vice president and regional chief operating officer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Trunz family, especially Charles and Gerry's children: Charles IV (Chas), Christiaan, Maximilian and Jack.

Helene Beverly Keck, 88, of South Strathmore, Manhasset, died on Feb. 17, 2006 at North Shore Medical Center after a long illness. She was born on Aug. 9, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Albert and Lillian Greenfield.
She interrupted her education at The University of Pennsylvania with the onset of World War II to work at the Philadelphia Naval Yard where she met her future husband, Dr. Alfred J. Keck.
Helene Keck is survived by Dr. Keck and her daughter, Christine (William C. III) Anderson. Her older daughter, Diane (Howard) White predeceased her on Sept. 28, 2005. She was the loving grandmother of William C. IV, Teresa, Stephen, Geoffrey, Thomas and Matthew Anderson, and also Cynthia (Gary) Williams, John (Christine) Moody, and James Moody.
Mrs. Keck was a longtime and outspoken lover of animals and an active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church for 50 years, where she was in many women's groups. She was also active in the 1960s in the Girl Scouts.
