Visioning Process Arrives in Manhasset
Other communities in North Hempstead are doing it, including Port Washington, Great Neck, Roslyn Heights, and New Cassel and Manhasset 's first visioning meeting for Plandome Road is Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Manhasset High School. Town officials invite any individual who lives or works in Manhasset to participate offering their ideas for the area stretching from Northern Boulevard to Webster Avenue which is located at the opposite end of town. A "vision process" is a community-based planning initiative where local governments, community groups, businesses and residents come together to create a shared vision for their community.

Manhasset Post 304 Welcomes US Army 301st Area Support Group
Manhasset Post 30 welcomed back Colonel David Fitzgerald, of the 301st Area Support Group (301st ASG), a unit of the 77th Regional Readiness Command (77th RRC). The unit had recently returned to the United States from Iraq.

Manhasset Football Program Finishes Successful Season
The Manhasset football program (grades 7-12) finished with a combined record of 20-3 for the 2005 Fall Season for a winning percentage of .869, quite impressive. In addition, the Varsity squad was a 2005 Conference IV, Big Four Champion for the ninth time in the last 15 years. The Varsity Athletes also qualified for the New York State Academic Team Award with an aggregate average of 92.525.

St. Mary's Seventh-Grade Girls CYO Basketball Team Wins Again
The best way to describe this team is gritty. Playing with only two subs, they toughed out a win to improve to 3-2.
