Plandome Road's Future Is in Your Hands
Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Wayne Wink invite all who live or work in Manhasset to join a "Vision Process" for Plandome Road that will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Manhasset High School. The effort will focus on the business corridor, from Northern Boulevard to Webster Avenue. A "Vision Process" is a community-based planning initiative where local governments, local community groups, local businesses and local residents come together to create a shared vision for their community.

Emergency Plan in Place
Disasters do not make an appointment. Some are caused by nature and others by man. However, in whatever form it takes, a disaster must be dealt with swiftly and efficiently. In the recent past all have witnessed how local officials have or have not dealt with the aftermath of unprecedented calamities. In an effort to be prepared, five mayors of local villages have signed an agreement establishing a plan to facilitate and provide mutual assistance in the event that a disaster strikes locally.

Manhasset Boys Cross-Country Win Nassau County Title
Led by senior captains Matt Brennan and Erik Lawrence Manhasset's boys cross-country team won its eighth Nassau County championship on Nov. 5 at Bethpage State Park. This was a special day for Manhasset as the girls cross-country team also won their country race - Manhasset was the only county school to win both titles.
