Over the Memorial Weekend, the Manhasset school community lost a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Marie Rogers. She was not only a dedicated teacher, but a friend and a mentor to all her students. She reached out to her students beyond what was required of a teacher. It wasn't simply the ABCs of the science curriculum that she taught so well but her boundless energy, spirit, and enthusiasm that made going to school a lot of fun for her students. She was the kind of teacher that we moved to Manhasset for in search of a better education for our children. Thank you, Mrs. Rogers. You will forever be in our hearts.
