Library Will Operate on Last Year's Budget
On April 13 the proposed 2005-2006 budget for the Manhasset Public Library was rejected. Although the margin of defeat was very small-only seven votes-the trustees of the library have decided not to have another budget vote. Instead the library will operate on an austerity budget during the forthcoming year.

Manhasset Girls' Varsity Track
The Manhasset Girls' Varsity Track team has finished the regular league season with a record of 11 wins and 2 losses. The team will be competing at a few invitationals over the next few weeks in preparation for the championship season and possible qualification for the State Championships in Syracuse. The Division Championship meet will take place on Monday, May 9 at Cold Spring Harbor High School.

Fifth Grade Laxers Open Season
The Manhasset PAL Lacrosse program continues to be one of the best on Long Island. This year's fifth grade is no exception. Two outstanding teams have been formed and play in competitive divisions. Roger Coleman, Jim Wenk and Fred Harmeyer coach one fifth grade team.
