We would like to introduce members of a recently organized team whose goal is to help maintain the excellence of our Manhasset School District: P.A.S.S. - Parents Aligned to Support our Schools. P.A.S.S. hopes to work with the board of education, key administrators and community members to foster true teamwork and constructive change.

There are many challenges and complex issues before the Manhasset School District. Many of these issues are not just about numbers. We want to be part of creating a vision for our educational system. Our school budget vote is on May 17. We want to support the board of education as they make tough decisions because another year of the limitations of an austerity budget is not the answer or a long-term solution. The school budget must be managed with fiscal responsibility, but balanced with a vision and plan for continuing to provide an excellent education for our children.

We would like you to join our team! You will hear more from us and you will see evidence of our commitment toward what should be a common goal for this community- a plan for a fair and responsible school budget, as well as a vision for a rock solid education for our children.
