The fifth grade girls CYO basketball team finished their season with a perfect 12-0 record. This is a well-balanced team of 13 committed girls, who always rose to the challenge and who always supported each other. They achieved their record with a grueling double overtime victory and a hard fought overtime win. These girls do not give up!

The offensive effort was led by point guards Tara Prufeta, Julia Comerford and Kaitlin Miller. The point guards led the team with a combined 87 assists.

They were supported by shooting guards Katie Pegno, Amanda Morici, Caitlin Cook, and small forwards Alexa Fradella, Susannah Roberts, Delaney Parker and Kristin Lewis. The backcourt combined for a team leading 173 points, while the tenacious forwards led the team with 48 steals.

The team effort was completed by the hard-charging play of power forwards Kelly McGoldrick and Regan McCooey and center, Allison Schneider. These girls combined for more than 61 rebounds and 26 blocked shots.

However, this team's signature was its tough, tenacious help defense. Repeatedly these girls helped each other to stop their opponents, steal the ball, block the shot and come down with the rebound.

Great playing girls, you're undefeated!

Coaches M. Comerford, S. Fradella, M. Miller
