Alycen English, a senior at Manhasset High School, has recently been chosen as the Citibank-News 12 Scholar Athlete. English plays varsity soccer and varsity lacrosse. There are 30 students in total chosen for this award throughout the school year. In order to receive this accolade students must have high academic standings and an outstanding athletic performance.

Christopher Peyser, a senior at Manhasset High School, was selected as the Citibank-News 12 Scholar Athlete this past October. Peyser is All-American in lacrosse and All-County in football and track.

Both Manhasset students will receive a $1,000 scholarship award from Citibank, and in June they will be honored at an awards dinner. Charlie Gonsalves, Manhasset High School athletic director, nominated the students for this award, and associates at Citibank and News 12 determined which students won the award.
