Congratulations to the following young ladies who will represent Manhasset High School in the Conference V basketball division. The girls are: Seniors Liz Byrns, Meghan Clarke, Laura Molins, Juniors: Cailinn Connolly, Mary Cuddihy, Meghan Gaffney, Michelle La Rosa, freshman; Eileen Gaffney, Dani Iervolino and Whitney Quackenbush.
The team will be defending the conference title won last year with a 12-0 record.
In the Barbara Hoffman tournament held at Manhasset High School, the team defeated Roslyn High on the 10th of December by a score of 54-35 and on the following afternoon played New Rochelle, who defeated Port Washington the previous night. The Lady Indians came out on top of a hard fought game winning in the last few seconds 40-39.
This was the third straight year the girls have won the Barbara Hoffman Tournament. Meghan Clarke was the MVP during the tournament and Liz Byrns was selected for the all-conference team.
On the 21st of December they faced Roosevelt High School to open up the league schedule and came out on top with a 38 - 26 decision. The Lady Indians next home game will be on Jan. 6 at 7:15 pm against the girls of Mineola High School. All are welcome to come and see the Lady Indians play.

This is an exciting team to watch and they are intent on again going undefeated in their conference, so if you get a chance come out to see them. The home games are against Valley Stream North on Thursday Jan 6, Mineola Saturday, Jan. 15 (12 p.m.), Valley Stream South Tuesday, Feb. 1 (7:15 p.m.), Clarke Thursday, Feb. 3 (7:15 p.m.) and North Shore on Thursday, Feb. 10 (7:15 p.m.).
