New and Improved Arrival Procedures at Munsey Park
The safe arrival of the students is the foremost concern for everyone at Munsey Park Elementary School. In order to provide a more fluid and safe environment for students at the beginning of the school day, the SCA and administration teamed up to formulate new arrival procedures. They have collaborated on and introduced a redesigned procedure to help streamline morning drop-off. The ultimate goal of this procedure was to help speed up drop-off and increase the level of safety at Munsey Park.

Manhasset Park District Commissioner Mark Sauvigne to Seek Re-election
Mark Sauvigne has announced he will seek a second term as MPD commissioner. Mr. Sauvigne has been a Manhasset resident for nearly 25 years. Whether coaching CYO or PAL, attending a MAAC meeting or helping run a St. Mary's golf outing, he is a constant presence in community activities. Although the MPD has accomplished much during his tenure, he is eager to strive for greater achievements.

Manhasset Crew Dominates Long Island Frostbite Regatta
In a feat almost unprecedented in rowing competition, three Manhasset girls boats won gold medals at the Nov. 6 Long Island Frostbite Regatta held at the Sagamore Rowing Club. This was a sweep of the girls eights competition in which 20 Long Island High Schools participated. In addition to these wins, all of the other Manhasset boats medalled.

Set's 2005 Seniors Celebrate Their Last Field Hockey Season
Manhasset High School's Varsity field hockey team held its last home game Oct. 26 against North Shore where every senior and her mom were presented with flowers and recognition. The team finished its season with an 8-5-1 record, winning both rounds of playoffs and making it all the way to counties.
