The installation of artificial turf on the MHS sports field has been completed --from conception to completion in six months. The formal dedication will be held at the first home game on October 2, which is also the Homecoming Game. The entire project was privately funded with monies donated to the MHS Booster Club. All funds collected for the project will be directed to the football stadium and there is still time to contribute to the impressive upgrades which already includes the new artificial turf, new stadium sound system and the huge American flag.

The state-of-the-art artificial turf replaced the existing field and "should always be in optimal condition with no defects which should translate into fewer injuries," said Andy Palmedo, past Booster Club president. "An added benefit of the artificial turf," he added, "is that the geese hate it."
