Joseph T. Pinzino, a Manhasset resident for 47 years, passed away on August 20 at the age of 82. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Raymond Nugent and Rev. Anthony Refalo, close friends of the family, at St. Mary's Church, Manhasset.
As an active member of his community, Joseph Pinzino was a parishioner at St. Mary's and served as a volunteer firefighter with the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, Company #1. A World War II veteran, he was also a long-standing member of the American Legion Post 304.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Josephine; devoted children Stephen D. Pinzino and Christine Cali; loving grandchildren Stephen, Stephanie, Lindsay and Nicole; and cherished great-granddaughter Kayla.
William S. Crisafulli, a longtime resident of Manhasset, passed away on September 11, 2004at the age of 95. Mr. Crisafulli was born in Greenwich Village on March 24, 1909. He graduated from Columbia University with a B.S. degree in 1931. An importer of specialty food products, he moved his family to Manhasset in 1940. He is survived by his daughter Carolyn (Cris) Donohue of Glen Cove, and his son Stephen W. Crisafulli of Santa Rosa, California, as well as four grandchildren, William S. Crisafulli of Danville, California, Pamela Hommeyer of San Francisco, Mary Donohue of Manhasset, and William P. Donohue, Jr. of Wilton, Connecticut, and ten great-grandchildren. He wife, Mary, pre-deceased him in 1998. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 15 at St. Mary's Church, Manhasset, and burial was at Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington.
