Munsey Park/Shelter Rock Students Help Clean Their Environment
North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Town Clerk Michelle Schimel, Councilman Wayne Wink, and Councilman Fred Pollack joined over 150 students and parents from both the Munsey Park Elementary School and Shelter Rock Elementary School to help clean Manhasset Valley Park on Northern Boulevard. The clean-up took place Saturday morning and resulted in the removal of over 160 bags of trash and debris from the park.

Fleet Blessing Opens Boating Season
On Saturday, June 5, overcast skies, the Manhasset Bay Sportsmen's Club of Port Washington continued a Port tradition existing for over a half century, the blessing of the fleet. Club President Tom Garafolo led a coterie of religious, civic leaders and residents to the town dock for ceremonies that signal the beginning of the boating season in Manhasset Bay.

Strong Finish for 4th Grade Boys Laxers
The Matthews/Wenk/Harmeyer fourth grade lacrosse team finished its season on a high note, winning at Rockville Centre this past Sunday 9-4 and beating a very hard hitting Wantagh team 6-4 the previous week--compiling a 7-1 record. The attack scored a plethora of goals led by Tommy Wenk, Conor McNamara, Bradley Harmeyer and Chris Brown. Their unselfish play was also supported by Eddie Troia, Nick Dipreta, Luke Minardi, John Hannon and Alan Probst.
