How great is the community of Manhasset? In late March the Manhasset High School Booster Club decided that if we were ever to have a state-of-the-art outdoor athletic facility, we were going to have to do it privately. The problems were that we had no money and a project of this magnitude usually takes years. We had only four months. Impossible? No way. We have Kevin Cook, Jim Judge, Len Kessler, Boomer Esiason and a community that wants the very best for their kids.

The first, and by far the largest challenge was to raise $400,000 in donation pledges in five weeks. Yes, weeks not years. We're serious and we did it!

There is still much to do and we have no time to spare. We need to immediately raise an additional $50,000. Please do what you can to help. It's very easy. Contact our website right now: Manhassetboosterclub.org. The money must be in the bank before proceeding to the next step. Complex legal documents must be signed by May 29. The surface will be manufactured in June and installation is scheduled for July. We have our mandate and we will get the job done this summer.
