The 16th annual Golf and Induction Dinner is being held at the Plandome Country Club Thursday, May 6. There is still time to get in on this great day. The boys and girls varsity high school teams will be well represented at the dinner and induction ceremony.
These deserving individuals are among those being honored and inducted.
Carolyn was a 4-year varsity player in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. She was the team leader and captain in all three sports. Carolyn was a lax All-American in high school and at University of Virginia. She was the defensive star on three US Women's National Lacrosse teams. Manhasset is honored to include Carolyn in its Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Blake began his illustrious career as most other Manhasset lacrosse players, in a PAL uniform. He earned All American honors while attending Fordham Prep, Nassau Community and Hofstra University. Blakes' professional teams include The New York Saints, Anaheim Storm and Bridgeport Barrage. He earned lacrosse's highest honor of bringing home the gold medals at the 1998 World Games and The 1999 World Cup.
Jim has spent 20 years coaching one of the most successful and prestigious PAL Lacrosse programs in the country. He has administered the program for the past 14 years. His graduates are well prepared to continue their successful careers at the great colleges and universities of our country.
Yes, his Manhasset Girls PAL program is without peer. The High School Girls Lacrosse team is once again New York State Champions. The community of Manhasset thanks Jim, his wife Mary and his family for his tireless effort and involvement.
