The Village of Munsey Park held its annual meeting and budget hearing on April 14. The preliminary budget was adopted. The tax rate and tax levy will be an agenda item for the May 12 meeting of the board of trustees but it does not appear that there will be a tax increase. FULL STORY

In this age of severe tax increases by Nassau County, the Manhasset School District, and the Manhasset Public Library, just to name a few, it is refreshing to learn that the Village of Flower Hill will have no tax increases again this year. The Conway fifth grade lacrosse team opened its season with an exciting game against Massapequa. Although the final score was tied, Manhasset notched a moral victory by scoring with 46 seconds remaining to knot the score. FULL STORY
