The Manhasset School District and the Board of Education (BOE) held a meeting March 18 which included discussions of program changes or reductions in Social Studies and English from kindergarten to grade 12. On the chopping block were the Gifted and Talented (G&T) and Dimensions programs and the majority of the audience sat quietly waiting for an opportunity to speak on behalf of those programs. With the New York State high school hockey playoffs just a week away, the Gaels are working hard preparing to defend their title with additional practices.
