Kenneth Childs of Manhasset died on January 11, 2004. He had been a resident of Manhasset for 38 years. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn Bossler Childs, cherished father of Kenneth P. Childs and Kathryn P. Childs, loving grandfather of Philip and Kristen; brother of James H. Childs and Claire Childs Mondora. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Fairchild Funeral Chapel in Manhasset.

Louise Mills Rankin died on Monday, January 19, 2004, in North Shore Hospital. She was the only daughter of Manhasset residents Tom H. Rankin and Florence Mills Rankin.

Louise was a graduate of Manhasset High School and was currently working on a master's degree in criminal justice at John Jay College in Manhattan. The majority of her working life was spent as an editor with the United Nations. Louise will be sorely missed by her surviving cousins and close friends. A funeral service will be held at the Community Reformed Church, 90 Plandome Road, on Saturday, Jan. 24, at noon.
