On Dec. 8 at the Crest Hollow Country Club, the 2003 Nassau County Champion MHS Boys Cross-Country Team was honored along with other Nassau boys and girls teams.

The team had an outstanding season, being undefeated Conference (13-0) and Division champions (6-0). After winning the county championship, the team traveled to Rochester, NY, and ran in the New York State Championships. The team ended the season ranked second overall in Nassau and eighth in the State for Class B.

All-County Honors were awarded to George Ehrhardt, Erik Lawrence and Tom Papain. All-Conference Honors were awarded to Anthony McLean and Yousuf Qureshi and All-Division Honors to Ryan Drago. Coach Don Scott was voted Nassau Boys Coach of the Year by the Coaches Association.
