Grace (MacCutcheon) Jayne, 85, the widow of William C. Jayne, died Sunday Sept. 28, 2003) at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. Born in Sewickley, PA, she was a longtime resident of Plandome. Grace was a 1940 graduate of Rutgers University. She went on to be a chemist for Sunshine Biscuits and was the Town Historian for Plandome for many years. She also had a love for antiques.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Vincent B. Girard of Glastonbury, CT, Armand Girard of Evanston, IL; Lynn Galvin of Portsmouth, RI; Chryssa MacCutcheon of Santa Barbara, CA; Duncan MacCutcheon of Fullterton, CA and Kirk MacCutcheon of Maui, HI and by her brother, Vincent G. Girard of Manchester, CT. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced at St. Stephen's Church, Main Street, Port Washington. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester, CT has care of arrangements.
