Greentree Plans to Expand Stables, Garage
The Greentree Foundation, owners of the former Whitney estate in Manhasset, will appear before the North Hempstead Town Board on August 12 to request a site plan review for proposed alterations to stables and garages. According to Richard Schaffer, president of the Greentree Foundation, the purpose of the renovation is to decrease wear and tear on the main house and increase the use of the outbuildings for most of the meetings held on the property.

Manhasset Girls' Fairy Tale Ends
After two impressive wins to start tournament play, the "dream season" for the Manhasset 9/10 year old Williamsport team came to a temporary end. The tough rival team from Albertson came into town with the task of having to beat us twice. Game one, changed to Munsey Park school field after vandals ruined Valley Park for that evening, was a lesson in frustration. The Manhasset pitching staff issued 18 walks, a difficult obstacle to overcome.
